Accelerator Group

The EPS Accelerator Group, formed in 1988, unites individuals and Public Institutions, laboratories interested in particle accelerators, storage rings and similar devices as used in scientific research and practical applications.

Objectives:

  • The EPS AG establishes links for exchange of information between institutes, between societies specialized in the accelerator field, and with industry, it collaborates and fosters communication with groups with similar interests throughout Europe and internationally.
  • The Accelerator Group sponsors the attribution of Prizes according to rules approved by the Board.
  • The EPS AG organizes the International Particle Accelerator Conference (IPAC) when organized in Europe

• The Rolf Wideröe Prize 
• The Gersh Budker Prize 
• The Frank Sacherer Prize 
• The Bruno Touschek Prize
