Carbonhagen’s ambition is to provide space where you can learn about exciting new developments in two-dimensional and other layered materials, and interact with the very people who are pushing the field forward. The meeting is intimate (160 participant limit), intense and single-session. We will meet over August 21-22, the best time to experience Copenhagen ’s sights, food, cozy atmosphere and inhabitants.

Carbonhagen’s ambition is to provide space where you can learn about exciting new developments in two-dimensional and other layered materials, and interact with the very people who are pushing the field forward.  The meeting is intimate (160 participant limit), intense and single-session. We will meet over August 21-22, the best time to experience Copenhagen ’s sights, food, cozy atmosphere and inhabitants (Copenhagen is “Best in Travel 2019” worldwide among Lonely Planets users).

 

Three excellent keynote speakers and a strong, growing line of invited speakers are confirmed so far. The organisers are still inviting speakers and headhunting researchers for contributed talks, and are also looking for candidates for our prestigious Young Researcher session, for which five slots have been reserved this year have .

 

Registration is now  open, the homepage is live, and you can study the preliminary programme on www.carbonhagen.com . The abstracts of the speakers will be uploaded throughout April.

About this year’s meeting

Young researcher session. A session will be devoted to the rising stars in the field, giving a chance for you to hear what the new generation is up to. The best talks and posters will receive nice awards.

 

Conference scholarship. There is a limited number of conference scholarships available, to enable visitors, researchers and students with insufficient access to funds to participate without paying the fee. Please apply here .

 

Registration is open from April 1, 2019. 

 

Registration fee. Take advantage of our early-bird offer. In April and May the conference (including dinner) is €200, while conference only is €125. Prices after June 1 will become €250 (conference including dinner) and €150 (without dinner).

You are welcome to invite one extra guest for the dinner: early-bird fee is €75, after June 1st it is €100. You can read about the options and register for the meeting here
