Education

The EPS studies issues of concern to all European countries relating to physics education, not only at the university level, but also at the primary and secondary level. It pilots actvities through its Physics Education Division and participates in EU funded projects. EPS Member Societies exchange information on developments in their countries and share ideas and best practices.

Horizons of Physics
Education

The HOPE academic network is based on a 3-year project, which aims to enhance the impact of physics education, its visibility and its consequence in society.

Inspiring Science Education

The ISE project encourages the use of eLearning tools for enhancing and fostering Inquiry Based Science Education in European schools.

MUSE

The EPS Physics Education Division initiated the MUSE project in 2008. It develops simple physics experiments to inspire students and teachers.

EUROPEAN EDUCATION INFORMATION

The EPS has developed resources providing statistics, portals to European Union funded projects, and documents related to science education in Europe.

EUROPEAN PEDAGOGICAL RESOURCES

European and international research institutes engaged in education, and physics related learned societies propose innovative science education materials.

NATIONAL PEDAGOGICAL RESOURCES

National physical societies propose innovative science related education materials.

IYPT

The EPS Secretariat hosts the International Young Physicists Tournament [IYPT]: a scientific competition among teams of secondary school students.

OUTREACH INITIATIVES

The EPS encourages the initiatives to establish a European community among physics-related people.
