SCOPE OF EMP16
EMP16 follows the successful EMP15 conference that took place in Shenzhen, China, in July 2015 (http://emp15.sustc.edu.cn/). The aim of this conference is to provide a platform for academics, scientists, business leaders, innovators, and industrialists around the world to exchange ideas and form collaborations to jointly fight energy crisis, and combat global warming and climate change. In particular, we solicit papers in a broad area of energy photonics, an emerging area in applying photonics in high efficiency energy production, utilization, and related material researches supporting these applications.
EMP16 covers all aspects of Material and Photonics in Energy applications including but not limited to:
· Energy & Energy Storage materials
· Functional Materials and Devices
· Hybrid materials
· Solar cells
· Semiconductor lighting and displays
· Smart windows and coating
· Smart (Nano) materials
· Solar hydrogen
· Optics and Photonics
70 participants are expected, including 40 invited speakers. With the participation of the UNESCO Chair in Renewable Energies MATECSS (Materials and Technologies for Energy Conversion, Saving and Storage). The mission of this Chair, hosted at the INRS in Montreal, Canada, is to expand the expertise in renewable energy materials and technologies within countries from the global South. CONFERENCE LOCATION The LNIO Laboratory (ICD-CNRS) of the University of Technology of Troyes (www.utt.fr) organizes the conference that will take place in the beautiful and historical downtown of the city of Troyes, in the Champagne region of France.
