You are invited to participate in the International Conference Optical and Electrical Spectroscopy of Single Quantum Dots (SQD13
), from 10th to 12th March 2013, Mallorca, Spain.
At present, there is extensive research on the optical properties of single quantum dots, with interest for the energetics and dynamics of single and multiple excitons. On the other hand, electrical spectroscopy on single quantum dots can be performed, both in device and scanning probe geometries. Such experiments have provided detailed information on the bare electronic structure and electron-electron and electron-phonon interactions. It would be very fruitful if complementary optical and electrical information can be simultaneously obtained on a single quantum dot.
Therefore, this workshop aims to bring together the communities doing optical and electrical spectroscopy of single quantum dots. The goal of the workshop is to review the latest technical and scientific developments, and explore how both disciplines can be brought together. The workshop will have a Gordon Research conference type set-up, with invited lectures, contributed talks and ample time for discussion.Daniel Vanmaekelbergh
