What is EPS?
The European Physical Society is a not for profit association whose purpose is to promote physics and physicists in Europe.
Created in 1968, the EPS provides an international forum to discuss science and policy issues of interest to its members. It represents over 100,000 members and physicists through its 40 national member societies. It also provides a forum for over 2500 individual members. Applied research in industry, and academic and other research institutes are also present as associate members.
